Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 26, 2026
Ambica MarTech LLC ("Ambica", "we", "us") makes software that helps local businesses create, run and measure ads on Facebook, Instagram and TikTok. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to our website, getambica.com, and to the Ambica app and text-message service (together, the "Service").
1. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Account details: your name, email address, phone number, business name, business address and role.
- Business facts: menus, prices, hours, offers and other facts you confirm so we can put them in ads accurately.
- Content: photos, videos, logos and text you upload or send us by text message.
- Messages: requests and replies you send us in the app, by email or by text message.
- Free-plan and pilot sign-ups: your first name, shop name, mobile number, neighborhood and, if you give it, your email, plus your answers about your shop, goals and budget. We use these to send you your plan and to contact you about the pilot, including by text message if you agree.
- Billing: our payment processor, Stripe, collects your card details. We do not see or store full card numbers.
Information from services you connect
We only receive this information if you choose to connect the service, and only for the accounts you select.
- Meta (Facebook and Instagram): your Pages, Instagram professional accounts, ad accounts, ad settings and results, and, if you turn them on, leads from your lead forms and messages people send in reply to your ads.
- TikTok: your ad accounts, ad settings and results, and leads from your lead forms.
- Point-of-sale systems (for example Square or Clover): sales totals, item sales, discount and offer-code redemptions, and, only if you turn on sales matching, customer email addresses or phone numbers attached to purchases.
- Google Business Profile: your business details, photos, reviews and profile activity such as calls and direction requests.
Information collected automatically
When you use our website or app, we collect basic technical information such as your device type, browser, IP address and pages viewed. We use this to keep the Service secure and working.
2. How we use information
- To provide the Service: plan campaigns, create ad images, video and text, launch and manage ads you approve, answer replies to your ads if you turn that on, and report results.
- To measure results: we match offer-code redemptions and, if you turn it on, purchases to your ads, so you can see the sales your ads brought in.
- To communicate with you: approvals, weekly reports, account and security notices, by app, email or text message.
- To keep the Service safe: verify businesses, prevent fraud and enforce ad policies.
- To improve the Service: we study combined, de-identified results across many businesses, such as which kinds of offers get redeemed at cafés. We build these only from data that comes from Ambica and your register, such as offer redemptions, prices and timing. We never use data we receive from Meta or TikTok for this; that data is used only for the business that connected it. We never report results for a group of fewer than 10 businesses, and we never reveal any single business's results to another business.
3. Data from Meta and TikTok
We use data we receive through Meta's and TikTok's platforms only to provide the Service to the business that connected it, and in line with Meta's Platform Terms and TikTok's developer terms. We do not sell this data. We do not use it to build profiles of individual people. We keep each business's data separate from every other business's data. We delete it when you disconnect, when you ask us to, or when we no longer need it to provide the Service.
4. Your customers' information
If you turn on sales matching, we convert your customers' email addresses and phone numbers into a one-way code (a SHA-256 hash) before sending them to Meta or TikTok. We use these matches to measure your ads. We do not use them to target ads unless you turn that feature on separately. You are responsible for telling your customers how you use their information; we provide a sample notice you can use.
5. Artificial intelligence
We use AI models to plan campaigns, write captions and create or edit images and video. To do this, we send the content and business facts needed for each task to AI providers that process it on our behalf. We choose providers whose business terms do not let them train their models on our customers' data. You review and approve every ad before it runs, and we label AI-generated content as Meta and TikTok require.
6. How we share information
- With ad platforms, on your instructions: when you approve an ad, we send it to Meta or TikTok to run.
- With service providers: companies that host our software, process payments, send text messages and email, and provide AI models. They may use your information only to provide services to us, under written contracts.
- For legal reasons: if required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of our users, the public or Ambica.
- In a business transfer: if Ambica is merged or sold, information may transfer to the new owner under this policy.
We do not sell personal information.
Requests from public authorities
We review every government request for user data for legality before responding. We challenge requests we believe are unlawful or too broad, disclose only the minimum the law requires, and keep a record of each request, our response, the legal basis and the people involved.
7. How long we keep information
We keep your information while your account is open. When you close your account or ask us to delete your data, we delete it within 30 days, except where we must keep records for legal, tax or fraud-prevention reasons. Backups are overwritten within 35 days.
8. Security
We encrypt data in transit and at rest. Access tokens for your ad accounts are encrypted separately and are never shown in our app or logs. We require two-factor sign-in for our staff and limit who can access customer data. No system is perfectly secure; if we learn of a breach affecting your information, we will notify you as the law requires.
9. Your choices and rights
- You can disconnect Meta, TikTok, your point-of-sale system or Google at any time, in the app or in those services' own settings.
- You can ask us to access, correct or delete your information. See our data deletion page.
- You can stop text messages by replying STOP.
- Residents of California and other states with privacy laws have additional rights, including the right to know, delete and correct personal information, and not to be discriminated against for using these rights. Contact us to use them.
10. Children
The Service is for businesses and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
11. Changes
We will post any changes on this page and update the date above. If a change is significant, we will tell you by email or in the app.
